Just a quick update today. All major pieces of my husbands sweater are done. I just have endless seaming, sewing in zipper and to pick up neckline stitches. Yes, still a lot of work! Maybe I will be brave and finish some of that this weekend?
My sweater is up to 6 pattern repeats. I need 8, then I do the neckline decreases. At the moment I am on sleeve decreases. It’s looking so lovely though! I think this color is a good Fall/Winter transition sweater, cotton and cashmere for when it just starts getting chilly. The California Bay Area has the best weather in September and October.
It’s hard to fight the temptation of starting on even something more! I bought all these lovely vintage stuffed animal patterns. I have patterns for teddies, rabbit, cat, duck, penguin and even koala bear.

Knitted toys and dolls are tempting to me, too, but I always resist the urge because my kids are too old for such things. I may give in some day because I like to knit small items.

They were all found on ebay! They are little pamplets. I think they are mostly from the 1940’s.

The knitted animals are just gorgeus. Can these be knitted in cashmere? Do you know where I can get them knitted ? I live in the U.K but of course they could be sent
Many thanks

These animals definately could be knitted in cashmere! I have the correct yarn for it all waiting. I suspect the animals would take some work to do hand knitted, at least a week of work so price may be high to find someone to hand knit them for you. (Maybe around $200-250 would be a fair price for hand knitting!) This is just a rough estimate though. They might be quicker to knit up than I think!? I might consider doing a service like this. Do you knit yourself?
