My excuse for having a US Weekly subscription is that my friend works for the magazine. It’s all her fault I read this junk food for the brain. I guess it’s handy to be “in the know” sometimes, especially when on page 80 of this weeks issue I see Selma Blair wearing something knit in the same color and lace pattern I am knitting! It turns out to be Marc Jacobs. Hey Marc Jacobs, did you come across my blog for fashion inspiration? I’m one of the few sites that comes up when googling “vintage knitting” so the idea is not to far fetched! It’s hard to deny that Marc is all about retro. I’m only disappointed because I don’t even have my sweater done yet! I guess this is good motiviation. Marc, in the mean time can I get the designer version sent to me since I was the inspiration?

Hi, I have been reading your blog for a couple of weeks now - since I have started obsessing with vintage knitting patterns, especially from the 50’s. You are very talented - your pieces are beautiful. This one is no exception!
I have bought a few patterns on ebay but surprisingly they are not for fingering weight yarns!! It is also difficult to find ok priced yarn - I found ColourMart and I am thinking of getting some cashmere.
I digress - Thank you for the inspiration!!!

I bet you’ll find better buttons for it, though.
I love your blog and your knitting. Keep up the awesome work.

The capelet is lovely. Would you happen to have a pattern of it for sale?
Thanks!

Yes, I think Marc stole your idea and you deserve one of those capelets, you’re right! Only you’ll look much better in it than Selma Blair does. heehee!

Hi, it’s been many months I’m looking to buy this exact capelet from Marc Jacobs but never find it. You are very talented and I’m wondering if I could buy one from you.
(I’m sorry, I don’t speak English very well).
Thank you.

Your sweater looks fantastic. How difficult was it to knit?
Is this pattern for sale? I would love to knit this…
Also, I have some (7 skeins) medium weight cashmere yarn that I would like to use for a shrug or small sweater… do you have a vintage pattern for sale for something like this?
